Victoria Park athletes were in action at the Senior and U17 indoor championships at the Emirates Arena on Saturday the 26th of January. Our seniors were particularly successful while many of our U17’s acquitted themselves well by narrowly missing out on medals while in the 1st year of their age group.
Mhairi Patience was 1st in the 400m with a time of 56.85s.
Philippa Millage was 1st in the 800m with a time of 2:07.15 ahead of her training partner Mhairi Hendry who finished 3rd in a time of 2:09.02.
Allan Ramsay was 3rd in the 800m with a time of 1:55.89.
Kade Thomas was 3rd in the 200m with a time of 22.52s.
Chloe Lambert was 3rd in the 200m with a time of 24.56s.
Hannah Lawler was 1st in the Pole Vault with a height of 3.63m.
Jax Thoirs was 1st in the Pole Vault with a height of 4.91m.
Lewis McGuire was 1st in the high jump with a height of 2.08m ahead of his club-mate Gavin Wilson who was 3rd with a height of 1.83m.
Mhairi Porterfield was 1st in the shot put with a distance of 13.28m.
Kyle Mcaulay had a fantastic day, he was 2nd in the U17 Hurdles with a time of 8.50s, 2nd in the high jump with a height of 1.78m and 2nd in the long jump with a distance of 6.81m.
Morgan MacDougal was 2nd in the Pole Vault with a height of 2.68m.
Ellie Davidson was 1st in the high jump with a height of 1.68m just ahead of her club-mate Abbey Orr who was 2nd with the same height on countback.
